At the age of fifteen, and after taking a total of 23 tests, Alexandria Southard passed her Senior Free Skating Test on December 4,
2009. When asked about this accomplishment,Alexandria replied, “I am so happy! Not only to have achieved the Senior Free Skate Level, but to have done it with a perfect test record made it that much more meaningful. It became my mission to never fail a test, and I achieved that goal.” She finished by thanking the Skating Club of Lake Placid for all their support.

Rebecca Peng of Connecticut and her family spent some quiet time in the 1932 & 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum while in town for the 2010 Lake Placid Summer Figure Skating Championships. Rebecca, who competed at the Juvenile Level, used this respite to learn about the Olympic Truce.

A huge thank you to Robin Cerruti for all of her hard work to host the annual SCLP banquet. Everyone had fun, the skaters were so proud of their accomplishments, and the DJ had those kids dancing up a storm! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of a very successful year.
