Bloomington, MN - More than 400 athletes and 50 officials descended on Bloomington, Minn., April 14-17 for the 2010 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships. The event, sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating, took place at the Bloomington Ice Center. Competitors in this annual event are divided into five age categories (21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and 61+) and two tracks (masters and adult). Events are held in singles, pairs, ice dancing and interpretive.

Four members of the Skating Club of Lake Placid entered the competition and all walked away with medals. Karen Kan and James Gann won Gold medals in their Silver Pairs skating event. They won Gold in Lake Placid two years ago when they competed together for the first time at Adult Nationals. This year, they each won Gold in their singles events as well.

Gina Jadwisiak and David Kobe joined the Skating Club of Lake Placid after the 2008 Championships. They competed in the Pre-Silver ice dance competition and won a pewter medal in a closely contested event. They had to skate four different dances, two in the initial round and two in the final round.
