Skate Rental Program

The Skating Club of Lake Placid has been awarded a grant from the Uihlein-Ironman Sports Fund to begin a skate rental program for skaters in our club who wish to take skating lessons and do not have their own equipment. Often children want to skate but the investment can be costly especially if they lose interest or just do not like the sport at the time. This program offers parents the opportunity to rent skates for their child at a reasonable fee.

We currently have 12 pairs of good, new, comfortable recreational skates in sizes 9 – 3 for children at a reasonable fee.

Rental cost is $20.00 for a season/session for a pair of skates and a helmet. Skate rental alone is $15.00 and helmets are $5.00. Equipment will be rented first to skaters enrolled in the program. If there are skates and/or helmets available we will rent them for daily rentals. One day rentals are $3.00 for skates and $1.00 for helmets.
